Crissy Groenewegen

Crissy and her husband are long-term friends of the Thomas family. She has three adult children and lives in Dutchess County where she has worked for over twenty years in education, counseling, and substance use prevention.

She is the former Director of the Council on Addiction Prevention and Education of Dutchess County and is the current Director of the Parent Action Network, a division of Smart Approaches to Marijuana. She is passionate about making a difference in our communities and working to make our neighborhoods safe for youth and families.

James’s Warriors is particularly important to her as she has experienced the devastating effects of a family member’s death by suicide. She is committed to the mission of James’s Warr;ors, and spreading a message of stigma-reduction, awareness, and prevention.
